On Wednesday 29 April, a beautiful spring edition of LASWERK lands in Bootstraat.
As always, we bring together a unique group of musicians for a one-night-only concert where everything is created in the moment. No repetition, no retakes. Just sound, intuition and encounter. How does a LASWERK actually work? In our brand-new podcast, the musicians explain it in detail.
On 29 April, Charline D’hoore, Quinten Godts, Jasmijn Lootens and Mien Heyvaert join host Bert Peyffers in the pressure cooker. Five musicians, one day to write, rehearse and let everything unfold live in the evening. How does a LASWERK actually work? In our brand-new podcast, the musicians explain it in detail.
Charline D’Hoore has worked in recent years as a producer, arranger and live musician for artists such as Pommelien Thijs, High Hi, Mayorga and Archie X. She is currently building her own solo project Chimmichannnga.
Quinten Godts, producer and electronics wizard, is making waves with Suna, shaping sound and energy into his own sonic universe.
Jasmijn Lootens is a cellist, composer and artistic researcher. Her practice moves between acoustic craftsmanship and electroacoustic exploration, with a strong focus on listening and perception.
Mien Heyvaert plays drums in projects such as Tranen, Max Forage and Ravekoor, and stands firmly on her own with her project Mek’dr’dr.
And of course, there is Bert Peyffers, the trusted host, who once again finds time between Ão’s intense tour schedule to bring everything together.
