LASWERK brings together musicians from diverse corners and genres for a unique concert in collaboration with Club AFF at Bootstraat. Boundaries fade, styles clash, and merge into something unexpectedly new. Expect whirlwind twists, musical sparks, and an energy that carries you far beyond the evening. Bert Peyffers and Adil Benhsain invite a colorful group of guest musicians to join them in exploring the seam between genres and instruments.

A lot of sensitive strings on stage: we form our own string ensemble with guest musicians Justine Bourgeus, Oscar Beerten, and Frederik Daelemans.

Justine Bourgeus is a singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. She has been part of the local scene since the age of 14 and began releasing music under the name Tsar B in 2015. She writes, records, and produces most of her compositions from her studio in Brussels. Her work has been praised by the likes of BBC Radio 1, The Fader, Les Inrocks, and more.

Oscar Beerten is a Belgian multi-instrumentalist deeply rooted in both traditional and contemporary folk. Specializing in bowed instruments like the Norwegian hardanger fiddle, he explores trance-like musical traditions. His passion took him to Sweden, Norway, and Finland, where he immersed himself in regional folk styles. Oscar holds a Master’s degree in Global Music from the Sibelius Academy (Helsinki) and is active with his band Alterne, while collaborating with musicians from diverse musical cultures.

Frederik Daelemans, cellist known for his dynamic contributions both live and in the studio with renowned artists such as Tamino, Beirut, and Meskerem Mees, is launching a new solo project. When his vocals merge with the atmospheric sounds of his cello, enhanced by effect pedals, Frederik creates a blend of melancholic folk influences and ambient soundscapes.
