B-Classic and CC de Bogaard invite you on a three-day musical journey through time and space. Festival BEROERT settles into the centuries-old heart of Sint-Truiden, where sounds make the walls resonate and music takes on a new form. Classical scores are opened up, transformed, recomposed, and fused with other worlds.
Heritage becomes more than a backdrop; it becomes a soundbox in which the past resonates through the present.
The journey begins on Friday in the Minderbroederskerk, with violinist Lorenzo Gatto and his ensemble KARAVAN. In Bach & Beyond: The Geometry of Spirituality, the baroque structures of Bach enter into dialogue with Indian and Persian influences.
Repetitive patterns, sometimes deceptively simple, sometimes dizzyingly complex, form the common thread throughout a concert that bypasses the intellect and speaks directly to the body.
This is music that does not ask for analysis, but for surrender.
