A cosy autumn edition of LASWERK, somewhere inside the buildings of Bootstraat!
Once again, B-Classic and Club AFF are throwing musicians from different corners of the Belgian music scene into our artistic pressure cooker. One day to get to know each other, exchange ideas, experiment and create something together that will be performed live for the very first and last time that same evening.
On Wednesday 18 November, Noémie Schellens, Aram Abgaryan (Oscar and the Wolf, mara), Jeremy Debuysschere (Berre, Oscar and the Wolf), Simon De Rover (TP Le Green, BXL x LDN INTERPLAY) and our resident host Bert Peyffers (Ão) dive headfirst into the musical unknown.
A soprano and actress who refuses to be confined by genre boundaries, a producer who blends classical influences with electronic club music, a bassist who turns his instrument into a synthesizer and a drummer who mixes jazz, hip-hop and electronics. With Bert Peyffers bringing it all together, five very different musical worlds get the chance to connect. Or clash in the most wonderful ways.
How will it all come together? They'll only find out on the day itself.
No fixed setlist, no predefined path. Just curiosity, experimentation and musical encounters. Genres collide, ideas merge and music takes shape in real time.
What will it sound like? No idea. And that's exactly the point.
No repetition, no retakes. Just sound, intuition and connection.
Free entry, priceless experience.
LASWERK is a production by B-Classic and Club AFF, with the support of the City of Hasselt, the Flemish Community and thanks to the players of the National Lottery.
