Theatre-maker and 'wannabe countertenor' Benjamin Abel Meirhaeghe partnered with Icelandic producer and composer Valgeir Sigurdsson (Björk, Feist, Damon Albarn) on the interface of electronic and contemporary classical music, with 'The art of listening' as the thematic starting point. Violinist Elisabeth Klinck joins them for the shows.

In a world where screams dominate and silence has become a scarce commodity, the artists ask how we can revalue and reclaim the art of listening. The trio translates the answer to this into a 60-minute soundscape.

Experience this creation as an atmospheric twilight concert in Heers castle park, with the north facade of the castle as an imposing back-drop. All proceeds from the concert will go to the restoration of this late-gothic heritage site.

A visit to Heers Castle is always a bit of an adventure. The ruined castle is currently being restored by Herita. So it is indeed a yard here, but look how cosy we can make it with candles and fire pits!

The concert takes place outdoors. Bring your own chair, cushion or picnic blanket and settle in a spot of your choice on the castle grounds.
The castle bar with local drinks opens at 7pm. So feel free to take your time to explore this historic place before the concert starts!
