Three musicians. Two pianos. One electronic universe in between.
Following their 2024 creation featuring, among others, Sigur Rós member Kjartan Sveinsson — which will tour across Europe this autumn — CCHA and B-Classic once again bring together a new creation rooted in encounter and exchange.
Two exceptionally versatile pianists and an electronic multi-instrumentalist explore and shift each other’s boundaries. What emerges is not a sum of styles, but an open workspace where virtuosity, imagination and sonic exploration continuously challenge one another.
Classically trained in Montpellier and shaped by Brussels’ jazz and improvisation scene, Dorian Dumont moves freely between genres. Through projects such as ECHT!, he explores the intersection of jazz, electronics and hip hop, while his solo work creates a dialogue between piano playing and electronic logic.
Anthony Romaniuk has developed an artistic path spanning multiple centuries and performance practices. From historical keyboard instruments to contemporary sonic landscapes, from Bach to Ligeti and ambient music, he combines refined classical sensitivity with improvisational daring. His work constantly balances repertoire and experimentation, precision and freedom.
In his music, Dijf Sanders weaves together field recordings, electronic textures and organic rhythms into continuously evolving compositions, shaped by influences from Indonesia, Nepal and Vietnam, among others.
In this encounter, their individual practices converge into a shared sonic exploration in which piano and electronics do not accompany one another, but challenge, complement and transform each other.
