B-Classic - 01.04.2026 Book presentation Fleur Pierets "Als Alles Goed Gaat"

During the book presentation of "Als Alles Goed Gaat" (published by Borgerhoff & Lamberigts), Fleur Pierets speaks about the origins of the book, the questions that led her to write it, and the process of creation. Gregory Frateur, curated by B-Classic and joined by Bert Peyffers (percussion), Louise van den Heuvel (bass), and Andy Willems (piano), will offer his unique interpretation of the text.

Fleur, Gregory, Bert, Louise, and Andy first met during an edition of Elfurenmis at De Velinx. What began there as an intuitive encounter grew into a shared artistic journey. Not long after, they reunited during The Cabinet Sessions at the Rubenshuis. The energy between text and music, between voice and imagination, proved too strong to ignore. Now they join forces once again at Arenberg, for an evening where words take flight and music becomes a story.

Afterwards, there will be space for conversation, drinks, and a book signing, accompanied by the music of Tom Gilbert, the electronic live project of Stijn Cole and Jeroen Van Dyck.

If all goes well, it won’t be necessary, they had told us. If all goes well, we’ll pretend it never happened. But the threat was in the air, so on that Monday morning we set off on a mission that will hopefully prove unnecessary.

Five people have been selected, screened, tested, and deemed fit to depart for an uninhabited island with a single task. They must decide what is worth leaving behind. What if the Earth, after thousands of years, recovers — that was the assignment — and what if people are born again? How do we make them understand that humans once existed? What do we leave behind for the archaeologists of the future?
