B-Classic - B-Wild

With B-Wild, B-Classic and Wilde Westen join forces
B-Wild is a development program that invites classical musicians to further refine their craft and explore the boundaries of genres. This initiative provides artists with the space to bring innovative artistic ideas to life and create contemporary musical performances.

Wilde Westen contributes its expertise from the pop music scene, surrounding classical musicians with experts from other genres—such as technicians and musicians—who challenge them to step beyond their familiar frameworks. This results in fresh creative perspectives and unexpected cross-pollinations, blurring the lines between genres until it becomes solely about the music.

Charlotte Schoeters kicks off the program
Classically trained vocalist Charlotte Schoeters goes beyond the traditional confines of classical music. Under her alter ego Telosqa, she is developing a solo performance that combines vocal techniques with radical textual expression. Drawing inspiration from diverse genres such as opera, jazz, chanson, beats, and electronic music, Charlotte will present the result of this journey at Night Air 2025, part of Festival Kortrijk. Additionally, she will open for Warhaus at their show in AB - Ancienne Belgique.

A multidisciplinary collaboration: Suzan Peeters and Marilou Dejans
Suzan Peeters and Marilou Dejans are also joining the B-Wild program. Together, they are creating an innovative performance where music and visual art converge.

Suzan, an accordionist and experimental musician, explores the boundaries of her instrument through live electronics and sound manipulation. Marilou, a visual artist working with painting and textile collages, investigates how her art can become an integral part of a musical performance.

The duo will receive guidance from the arts platform Vonk, which will provide support in dramaturgy, performance, and scenography. The outcome of their collaboration will be showcased at Night Air 2026.
