BUITEN DIENST is a new one day festival by B-Classic, Cultuurcentrum De Velinx, MoMeNT Festival and CLTR Tongeren-Borgloon. Every year, it transforms a different village in Tongeren-Borgloon into a surprising trail of music, performance, film, theatre, comedy and art in unexpected places. On Sunday 20 September, Hoepertingen becomes the setting for the very first edition, inviting visitors to discover the village from an entirely new perspective.

Expect a diverse line-up featuring Lenny Lenny, the solo project of Lennert Coorevits (Compact Disk Dummies), serving irresistible vintage seventies grooves, the brilliant saxophonist ALBAN, who released his acclaimed debut album To Break Your Heart earlier this year, and Guy Van Nueten & Decent Music Ensemble, bringing contemporary neoclassical music at its finest.

Karl Meesters, best known from the acclaimed VRT series Niks Te Zien, presents rien à voir, a unique concert experience together with members of the Flemish Radio Choir. Following its success at De Velinx, the Elfurenband returns alongside Noémie Schellens, this time joined by Adil Benhsain, while violinist Mikko Pablo treats audiences to intimate private performances.

Film also takes centre stage, with award winning short films by Dreez Cox and Natasja Briers. Comedy comes courtesy of Limburg favourites Jan Linssen and Lev Vanorbeek, while the Klimaatdichters give voice to today's world through powerful spoken word.

Theatre lovers can discover Collectief Verlof with the monologue Geen Kafka. Schippers & Van Gucht immerse audiences in the compelling 360° VR experience Nergens, while Johnny Mus sparks the imagination of curious minds aged five and up with Staartensymfonie.

For one day, BUITEN DIENST puts Hoepertingen on a different track. The festival spreads throughout the entire village, from Sint Vedastus Church, the Pastory, De Golmeerzouw Hall, Château de Looz, Chiro Bloesems, Ter Heide and VBS Het Appelmanneke to the Guru Ramdas Ji Gurdwara.
