Fleur Pierets is a writer, filmmaker, performance artist and public speaker. Her work moves between literature, performance and activism, often exploring themes of love, identity, equality and visibility. Together with her wife Julian P. Boom, she founded Et Alors? Magazine and launched 22 The Project in 2017, for which they planned to marry in every country where same sex marriage was legal. Following Julian’s death, Pierets transformed their story into her debut book Julian, published in 2019 and later adapted into a film by Cato Kusters, produced by Michiel and Lukas Dhont’s production company.

Following Julian, Pierets published three children’s books, the novel Heerlijk monster and the essay Beton. In 2026, she published her new novel Als alles goed gaat. She also speaks on international stages and is currently working on new documentary and fiction projects.

For B-Classic, Pierets first appeared as a guest speaker at Elfurenmis, where she collaborated with Gregory Frateur and the B-Classic house band. Their artistic encounter continued during The Cabinet Sessions at the Rubens House, where Pierets delivered a reading on art and activism, with Frateur responding musically alongside the B-Classic house band.

The collaboration developed further around Als alles goed gaat. For the book presentation at Arenberg, B-Classic once again curated a musical interpretation of her writing, featuring Gregory Frateur, Bert Peyffers, Louise van den Heuvel and Andy Willems. What began as an encounter at Elfurenmis has thus grown, through The Cabinet Sessions, into an ongoing artistic dialogue in which words and music continue to challenge and enrich one another.
