Gyða Valtýsdóttir is a true multi instrumentalist who first made her mark with múm, the iconic Icelandic band that pioneered new musical paths in the late 1990s. Her cello breathes, sings, and resonates in dialogue with Kronos Quartet, Damien Rice, Jónsi, Ben Frost, and Aaron and Bryce Dessner from The National.

Gyða was invited by Bert Cools & Kjartan Sveinsson together with Indrė Jurgelevičiūtė in our production that premiered at Nordic Night(s), Cultuurcentrum Hasselt in 2024
