Laurens Mannaerts is a Brussels based musician, producer and songwriter performing under the name Casares. His music blends dark synthesizers, textured guitars and ASMR inspired beats with intimate lyrics exploring themes of love, vulnerability and sensory overload. Moving between electronic music, indie and alternative pop, Casares creates immersive soundscapes where atmosphere and emotion take centre stage.

Alongside his solo project, Mannaerts is active as a producer and collaborator across a range of musical contexts. His work is marked by a cinematic approach to sound and a strong interest in the intersection of songwriting, production and sonic experimentation.

In 2025, Laurens Mannaerts was part of the musical team behind FOLD ME / BARE, B-Classic's multidisciplinary performance for Kunstennacht Hasselt, where music, fashion and performance came together in a single immersive experience.
