The End of Infinity
B-Classic, C-mine (Genk) and STRP Festival (Eindhoven) present: The End of Infinity.
Icelandic singer-songwriter and producer Jofridur Akadotir (JFDR), British singer and composer Kieran Brunt , and Belgian cellist and composer Benjamin Glorieux are taking on an adventure to find new links between classical and electronic music. This collaboration is not surprising, given that Glorieux breathed new life into Bach’s famous Cello Suites and that Brunt has worked with such artists as Nils Frahm, Jónsi, Terry Riley and Anna von Hausswolff.
A few years ago, Brunt asked JFDR to be featured on his new album with the electronic duo Strange Boy. The success of this collaboration inevitably sparked another. With The End of Infinity, the trio will create an hour-long song cycle that explores how we deal with and understand concepts like mortality, infinity, uncertainty, life and death.
