The Cabinet Sessions returns
On Friday evening 5 September, the courtyard of the Rubens House once again sets the stage for an exclusive night filled with live music, atmosphere and cultural surprises. This summer edition features a very special musical guest: none other than Jef Neve.

Jef Neve meets Rubens

Do not just call Jef Neve a pianist. This musical polymath is known as a tireless innovator who effortlessly crosses genres and never ceases to surprise. His artistic hunger and boundless energy are reminiscent of Rubens himself. He too was a relentless worker with an enormous output who moved easily between styles, disciplines and social circles. Two masters in their field, united by a shared drive to keep reinventing.

One Friday night. Three exceptional artists.

On Friday 5 September, Jef Neve presents an exclusive live performance, specially created for the courtyard of the Rubens House.
What will you hear? That remains a surprise, one you will discover only on the night itself.
What we can reveal: Jef Neve will not be alone. He will be joined by Benjamin Abel Meirhaeghe (countertenor and artistic director of Toneelhuis) and Laurens Mariën (soundscape expert and musical adventurer). Together they explore the intersections of classical music, theatre and electronics.
A one-time encounter between three extraordinary artists, in the heart of Rubens’ world.
